Home Care Scotland are currently looking for a motivated and reliable individual to lead and manage our teams in our services across Highland in Mid and East Ross-Shire

  • Approved and ready to go. You’re PVG checked, SSSC registered, referenced (x3) and ‘fit’ to work.

About Your Role

This job role will be as wide as it is varied. By leading and inspiring our home care teams to continuously improve the client experience, you will drive employee engagement and deliver our growth agenda. Resilience, adaptability and confidence to make tough decisions will be key attributes of your performance. You will build and sustain positive working relationships across our business and continually look for ways to optimise opportunities for the company, whilst ensuring that the service operates safely and in line with legislative requirements, policies and procedures.

Role Responsibility

It’s a big role, but you’re not alone. You will have a support team of like-minded directors and managers to draw on and report to. So, here’s a taste of what you will be doing…

  • Overseeing and managing the delivery of existing and new home care opportunities across various geographical areas. Setting up new services in areas identified for growth and seeing it through to the point of self-sufficiency, profitability and sustainability, before moving on to the next identified target.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills as you recruit, develop, inspire and retain the best people. From performance management to praise, ultimately you will ensure that you have a team of engaged carers, team leaders and care managers who want to deliver the best, whether that is meeting financial targets, exceeding service standards or managing quality standards to ensure full compliance with regulators and commissioners.
  • Overseeing the training and development of the staff group, designing and implementing systems, policies and procedures that will benefit and ensure the quality of care provision.
  • Living and breathing our visions and values, coaching, developing and driving your team to do the same to ensure that we are delivering an excellent service of care to our customers whilst maximising business growth and profitability across the region.
  • Prove yourself as an expert in your region, as well as being passionate about what we do as an organisation. We want you to bring fresh ideas, managing performance of your own teams, while actively contributing to the development of the wider business.
  • Implementing systems of quality assurance, auditing and evaluating the service and feeding back to stakeholders as appropriate, while continually reviewing business performance and taking action to make things even better, aiming for our organisational goal of a Care Inspectorate evaluative score of minimum 5 across all themes.
